With the exception of a couple of years in the 1970’s I have lived in Mosman Park since 1961. Following my schooling at St Louis College in Claremont, and completion of a Commerce Degree from University of Western Australia, I commenced a 33 year career with PMG as a graduate clerk in the Finance Department in 1973, progressing through the various disciplines to Group Finance Manager until made redundant from Telstra in 2006, in accordance with new management policy. Subsequently I have worked for the Jamac Property Development Group in a general capacity before spending the last 18 months performing the Secretary/Treasurer role at the Mosman Park Bowling Club.

On the home front, my partner Kerri and I have three children and six grandchildren, and my interests outside of family, centre mainly around a variety of sports.

I look forward with enthusiasm to the challenges of filling the role of your General Manager.

The winner of the 2009 Harold Camm Winter Cup was Ross McLaren with a score of +4, in a count back from Barry Bailye, who took second place. Third place was Mitchell Tonkin on +2. The winner of the Ladies Dorothea Camm Winter Cup was Jan Churchill. Contratulations everyone.

The Club will phase out the use of sand, due to the damage caused to mowers and the inhibition of growth around divots, to repairs divots. Players are asked to ‘chop in’ the sides of divots, using an iron and then flatten out the surface. The change to the local rule has with a target date for implementation of 1 July. Sand will continue to be available on the par 3 tees, the driving range and the practice tee on the 4^th fairway. This change is in line with other clubs.

The General Committee is offering a special membership deal for new members joining Mosman Park Golf Club before the end of September 2009. New members will pay the nomination fee of $250 plus 12 months membership fees and their membership will be valid right through until 30th September 2010. This is a great saving and a great time to join the Club. Enjoy immediate playing rights seven days a week when you join before the end of September.
